What we'll do

Welcome to the Spence of Excellence Summer HAF Programme, Time: 10am 2pm We offer a wide range of sports including football, dodgeball, handball, basketball, tag rugby, archery volleyball and tennis to name a few. Our food provider is from our partner V.ital Kitchen who provide us with healthy home cooked vegan food which always go down a treat for the kids. Our games and methods is linked to cognitive learning which has an improvement in memory and improved learning in the classroom. We are in the sports hall but also do have outdoor access and do take the children outdoors (weather permitting).

Spence of Excellence

Change the world one young person at a time

Spence of Excellence is a bespoke company which provides a range of sports for all Primary and secondary aged children of mixed abilities. The sports we run aim to aid and facilitate in the not only the children’s development in that sport but also socially. Children will learn a range of new skills, as well as develop on those they already have in a safe, creative and expressive environment. There is a real focus around agility, balance and coordination, these skills will allow the children to excel in sports but also aids in their cognitive development as they progress through their most impactful years.

Hi guys, I'm Coach Mike. I over 10 year's occasion coaching experience with children from the ages of 3 - 18 year's old, and have experience working with children with SEN. I specialise in football but have experience in a range of sports including Basketball, Dodgeball, Tennis & Gymnastics to name a few. We began Spence of Excellence to be able to give children a chance to develop their fundamental movements (Agility, Balance & Coordination) in a fun and safe space. We hope to see you again with us this Summer!!!!!!

FAQs

We are located in Dormers Wells Leisure Centre, if the back door is closed on entry you can wait outside the door rather then doing through the centre as we register participants there. We will also release children to parents from hereat the end of the day ANY CHILD HOME ALONE WE NEED CONSENT FROM PARENTS/CARERS BEFORE THIS IS POSSIBLE You can park in the Leisure centre's car park We have a vegetarian/vegan menu so there is no meat, any dietary/health issues please make this known to staff. A usual menu would look like: Monday - Chick Pea Curry Tuesday - Lentil Fried Rice Wednesday - Pasta Salad Thursday - Vegan Tortilla Wraps Sports are themed for the day, so an example of day would look like: Morning - Registration/free play - Warm up games - Technically/skills development LUNCH Afternoon - Games/matches/tournaments
